A slow start

Welcome to my first blog for ORCA with DFDS Seaways. I have been on the ship since Wednesday afternoon, but alas have had no cetacean sightings so far. This morning at 8am I did a ships announcement to say that I was about to commence a deck watch… Five minutes later 33 passengers arrives demanding to see whales and dolphins, instead, I was able to show them guillemots, razor bills, gannets, fulmars, kittiwakes and cormorants. When we reached Newcastle, a grey seal decided to come and investigate the ship as wee docked.
